Review

And so far I think this book is the best book that he ever write.

So, topic berita di tv sekarang lagi heboh pemadaman bergilir pln ya. Yaa mungkin nanti baru dapet pemadaman bergilirnya.

Hmm carious saya.

Ada lagi lah banjir bandang di Filipina. Ngeliat beritanya itu saya serasa ngeliat jakarta huahua. Terus ada juga badai di Amerika. Masya Allah banyak bencana ya. Hmm semoga kita semua ditingkatkan ya imannya. Amin :)

Sekian dulu deh yaa, ada keperluan nih haha bye people!

FANTASY VS REAL

Pure fantasy? Get real? Not so fast! Read on and you'll know some incredible real-life beings, human and non-human. Their amazing qualities are exemplary, heroic, and to some of us, an answer to our prayers.

Flash VS Cheetah Blades

Flash is a DC Comics superhero character who can run so fast that he defies certain laws of physics. His super-speed ability enables him to battle evil forces and rescue those who need him in a flash.

These prosthetic feet empower sporty amputees to gain success in the track-and-field sports like regular athletes with normal feet. Cheetah blades are made of lightweight carbon fiber and shaped like a cheetah's rear legs. The shape releases extra push so that the athletes achieve longer strides. Unlike athletes with complete limbs, athletes with amputed legs are not hindered by lactic acid buildup in their bodies, a condition that enables them to run longer. These "feet" are a key factor for the South African runner, Oscar Pistorius, to compete with other able-bodied world class trcak-and-field runner.

Valiant VS WW II Homing Pigeons

This is a movie about an undersized pigeon, named Valiant, dreaming of becoming a member of the brave British Royal Homing Pigeon's message carriers. Despite his small stature, Valiant managed ti fulfill his war missions. He and his fellow homing pigeons defeated the Allied Force's pigeon-hunting falcons and delivered a life-saving message. Valiant was awarded Dickin Medal for his courageous acts.

Valiant's story is based on the true story of many homing pigeons used by the Allied Forces againts Germany, and vice versa. Thousands of messages containing strategic planning and microfilms were delivered by these war heroes. The amessages wereput either in special message containers on their legs or on small pouches looped over their backs. Then the pigeons were realesed to deliver the messages to the respective countries' secret agents in the battling zone. These wonderful animals use their instinctive navigational capabity to find their way, covering hundreds of miles over shellings and poisonus gas, and avoiding intercepting trained falcon predators, to their destination and back to the base. The bird's brave and heroic role didn't go innoticed they were awarded Dickin Award, am award given to animals that have shown courageous acts.

THE FORGOTTEN ONES

According to Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary, a hero is a person who is admired for having done something very brave or having achived something great. The people that we're talking about here may not be heroes according to the above definition, but for sure they're heroes for most of us. They're there to do their jobs, jobs that not many of us want to do. When everything is under control, these people are easily forgotten, but when something bad happens, they're usually the ones to blame. Well, whatever people say about them, they're some of the heroes in our lives.

Crossing Guard

Think about this job: a job that asks you to stay alert rain and shine, a job that requires you to work even though it's a holiday, a job that other people never think about if you do it well, but blame you if you make a mistake. Do you think you'd like this job? Would you take it if there's a vacant position for it?
Meet Pak Edy Darmawi, who has been working for PJKA since 1988. Now Pak Edy is posted at a crossing on Jl Pramuka as a guard. As a crossing guard, he has to be alert during his working hours. In his small office, there are two devices that are very important: a telephone and a signal tool. Both of them are used to show that a train is coming.

Bottled Water Vendor

When you're sweating in the heat of Jakarta, you'd be very thankful to see vendors selling bottled water. Sufinaldi or Aldi is one of them. Aldi, who comes from Pariaman, West Sumatra, has been selling water for three months to add to his income. He sells water during the day and helps his friend sell clothes at night. Aldi uses the money he gets from selling bottled water for his daily needs. So he can save his income from selling clothes.

Water-Gate Attendant

For Pak Ibnu, background knowledge and job don't need to be in line. As long as that job isn't a crime, he doesn't mind doing it. And his current job now as a Manggarai water-gate attendant has no direct relation with Economics Management, the major he took at Krisna Dwipayana University, Jakarta. He thinks it's too bad that many Jakarta citizens still like throw their garbage into the rivers. That makes the water in the river unable to flow properly. But when the rainy season comes and the water level at the water gate is getting higher or the area that surrounds the water gate is flooded, people tend to blame the water-gate attendant. How ironic!

Park Sweeper

Jakarta with clean streets and clean parks is always nice place to see. One of the people who work hard to keep it clean is Odin, or as people usually call him, Pak Odin. He is in charge of the cleanliness of Monas Park. He has been working there since 1977. Every day he has to work from 7 a.m. to noon. After a short lunch break, he's back to work until 2 p.m. Pak Odin comes from Cirebon. He's married to a woman from West Sumatra. They have three children. The eldest graduated from a diploma program, the second graduated from a vacational school, and the youngest one is still a junior high student. They all live in their house in Tanah Tinggi, Central Jakarta.

everyone's a hero

M. Ali Sodikin (23) is not at all losing his mind when he was walk alone regularly along a 7-kilometer railway track at midnighgt. With a flashlight in hand to guide his way in the dark, he risks his life checking the railway track to make sure it is safe when used. Despite the fact that some day something bad might happen to him while on duty, he's been devoting his life to being a juru penilik jalan (jpj) for PT KA for a couple of years. Kudos to you, man! I'm one of those grateful train passengers who rely on great jobs of people like you. Undoubtedly, you're my hero!

That's exactly why, I believe, the qualities of a hero exist not only in those who have done great jobs in the name of their nation. A hero can be anyone who dedicates his life to humanity, be it a brave soldier, a firefighter, a good father or even a street cleaner. Can you imagine how messy and nasty our town would be without street cleaners? In "The Forgotten Ones" (next post) you will meet ordinary but brave people who devote their energy and time to serving other people.

Unfortunately, most of us believe that the qualities of a superhero are fictitious, that they exist only in imaginary characters. Wrong! Ever heard of Laksamana Malahayati, the navy admiral of one of the kingdoms of Aceh? Her reputation is said to be on a par with the fame of Elizabeth Swann of Pirates of Carribean. Go check out real-life superheroes in "Fantasy vs Real" (other post).

Knowing that you are a superhero, are ready to contribute to the betterment of the people around you? I bet you are.

So guys, because your superhero qualities are uniqe, the best way to express them is to be yourself. Never try to force yourself to be like someone else, however great they may seem!

blog orang malaysia

apabila INDON berfikir seperti LEMBU...

Cerdik komputer tapi BODOH.

Rakyatnya berfikir seperti lembu.

gimana tanggapan kalian?

no hoax

no SARA

I'm Proud of You!

Bima's academic scores are not as high as his brother. His younger brother, Chandra, ten, the math champ, excels not only in mathematics but also in science. Chandra also shows a keen interest in accounting and often helps his mother with the bookkeeping of her food stall. Bima's older brother, Andika, twelve, the language wizard, always makes his parents proud with his outstanding talent in languages. He speaks not only good Indonesian and Javanese, but also English and Mandarin. Andika loves watching movies and reading. He picks up languages very easily. Bima, on the other hand, is not the kind of child his mother can brag about. He gets low score for math, English, even Bahasa Indonesia. His math score is never above 5. His highest score for English is 6.5. Even Bahasa Indonesia, he rarely gets a 7.

At school, Bima's teachers complain about his behavior. He has problems concentrating on his lesson at school. He cannot stay put. He likes to walk around in class chatting with his friends. Bima likes to make jokes and give unnecessary comments that make his friends laugh when the teacher is explaining. It is hard for him to work alone. He prefers working in a group or with a peer.

Bima's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Santoso, who used to fret so much him, tried many things to help him improve his school grades and behavior. They used to think that Bima wouldn't be able to have a good future if they didn't take serious steps to improve his IQ. One day, they took him to a well-known, experienced child psychologist, Chadijah Verena, and the result of the interview turned out to be very surprising.

According to Chadijah, Bima has both excellent interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligences. His interpersonal intelligence can be seen from how easily he makes friends with just about everyone at school and in his neighborhood. His good intrapersonal intelligence can be seen from how Bima feels happy for other people's successes. While Bima was waiting outside Chadijah's office, she reminded Mr. and Mrs. Santoso,"Parents usually feel proud when their children have scholastic intelligence and do well at mathematics, language or sports. Have we ever felt proud when we relize our children have emotional intelligences? You should be proud of your son. He is someone you can rely on to keep the family bond and to cheer you up when you feel blue.

To compensate for their guilty feelings, Mr. and Mrs. Santoso took Bima to a mall on their way home. At the mall, they saw many toys. Bima said to himself,"Wow, those are great toys! Actually I want that toy but..."
"I should get one for Bima," Mrs. Santoso thought. She looked at her husband and he nodded his head in agreement. Unexpectedly, Bima commented,"I already have so many toy cars and story books at home. It's not the right time. Buy me the toy train if my scores at school get better this year." Mrs. Santoso got a funny feeling in her throat. She couldn't stop a tear from fallin. "Mom and Dad love you the way you are, son" she said to him. Mr. and Mrs. Santoso realized then that they had misjudged their son all this time.
